This Privacy Policy explains how NutriMind ("we", "our", or "the App") collects, uses, and protects your information.

1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

Personal Information (Stored Locally Only):

• Name (optional)

• Age, weight, height, gender

• Activity level and fitness goals

• Daily calorie and nutrition goals

Health & Fitness Data (Stored Locally Only):

• Food log entries (calories, macros, timestamps)

• Water intake records

• Weight tracking history

• Food photos (stored on device only)

App Usage Data (Optional):

• App feature usage (if analytics enabled)

• Screen views and interactions

• Crash reports and errors

2. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

Your local data is used to:

• Calculate personalized calorie goals

• Track your daily nutrition intake

• Provide AI-powered food analysis

• Generate progress insights and trends

• Send meal and hydration reminders

Analytics data (if enabled) is used to:

• Improve app performance and features

• Fix bugs and crashes

• Understand how users interact with the App

3. DATA STORAGE & SECURITY

Local Storage:

• ALL personal and health data is stored locally on your device

• We do NOT upload your food logs, weight, or personal information to any server

• Data is protected by your device's built-in security features

AI Processing:

• Food analysis is performed 100% on-device using Gemma-3n

• No food images or descriptions are sent to external servers

• Voice input is processed using your device's speech recognition

4. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

Firebase Analytics (Optional):

• Collects anonymous usage statistics

• You can disable this in Settings > Data & Privacy

• Data is processed by Google according to their privacy policy

Firebase Crashlytics:

• Collects crash reports to help us fix bugs

• May include device info and app state at time of crash

• Does not include personal health data

Google Speech Recognition:

• Used for voice input feature

• Audio may be processed by Google servers

• Subject to Google's privacy policy

5. YOUR RIGHTS & CONTROLS

You can:

• Disable analytics at any time in Settings

• Export all your data (CSV/JSON format)

• Delete all your data from the App

• Uninstall the App to remove all local data

6. DATA SHARING

We do NOT:

• Sell your personal information

• Share your health data with advertisers

• Transfer your data to third parties for marketing

We may share:

• Anonymous, aggregated usage statistics

• Crash data with Firebase (no personal health info)

7. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

NutriMind is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you are a parent and believe your child has provided information to us, please contact us.

8. INTERNATIONAL USERS

Your data is stored locally on your device. If you enable analytics, data may be processed by Google servers which may be located outside your country.

9. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify you of significant changes through the App. Continued use after changes indicates acceptance.
